We believe in supporting charities close to our hearts, therefore we regularly donate to these charities.
Amanda's Chosen Charity is Arch Angel MLD Trust
The Trust was set up to help people suffering from Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD) in whatever way it can including making grants to MLD affected children and to charities and organisations engaged in research, medical care and social care.
Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD), is a terminal illness, affecting around 1 in every one hundred thousand people. The ArchAngel Trust was established to support medical teams around the world who are working to help people with MLD.
Graham's Chosen Charity is Huntington's Disease Association
The Huntington’s disease Association supports people affected by the disease directly and provides information and advice to professionals whose task it is to support the families of those affected by the disease. The HDA is financed through the generosity of trusts, foundations, members and friends.
Huntington’s Disease affects 1 in 25,000 people; there is currently no cure for Huntington’s and so full-time care is required in the later stages of the disease. Complications such as Pneumonia, Heart Disease, and physical injury from falls reduce life expectancy. Death typically occurs fifteen to twenty years from when the disease was first detected.
